Pete the Silly Pelican
|
|
There
once was a pelican who loved to be dry.
A hat upon his head he did always apply.
No matter the season,
For whatever reason,
A hat always came between his head and the sky.
|
|
So
obsessed was this bird with the rain,
That an umbrella was added to cover his feather brain.
No matter the season,
For whatever reason,
He was prepared when stormy weather came.
|
His
ensemble indeed became complete,
When boots were added to cover his feet.
No matter the season,
For whatever reason,
He could walk in water ever so deep. |
Such
a dislike he had of the wet,
That he always managed to keep dry needs met.
But due to the season,
For very good reason,
His only cause to fret was.....sweat. |

If you are in need
of a limerick or limerick poem, then remember that CartoonSoup.com
is your home on the web.
A limerick is a kind of humorous verse of five lines, in which the
first and second lines rhyme with the fifth line, and the shorter
third line rhymes with the shorter fourth.
