There once was a man known to us all,
Who was long lived in spite of a fall.
Through long years, trials, and trouble a bunch,
He kept on going by never missing breakfast, supper or lunch.

He was always able to offer a happy greeting,
By the mere fact that he never missed a feeding.
The secret of long life, he knew.
"Keep doing what you always do."

Each morning get up, put one shoe on then the other.
Stand up, take a step, then go a little further.
Each day is a gift to share,
But to see it, you first have to be there.
